For a pessimistic, I'm pretty optimistic!

I know it's a chiche planning out a year to be better than the ones before, but this year is like an open sketchbook for me; nothing planned and nothing to get in my way - the pages are open for me to colour them as I wish and I intend to make them as exciting as possible.
I've decided to start a 'positive notebook' where I can write down aims, goals, ideas and anything that will help me progress in as big or little way as possible. I want to look back at my days, weeks, months and ultimately year and say to myself 'I did this and now I am here'.  The past few years in all honesty have been pretty shit but I am determined to make this year about be positive, doing it for me and creating a pathway for my future.
Down below I have a list of what I put in my 'positive notebook' of what I want to achieve this year. I think that these goals are achievable and which I can build upon throughout the year. I am looking forward to looking back at the end of the year, seeing what changed and what stayed the same.
Do you have any plans for the new year? What will you change for the better?

10 reasons why I love winter!

1// Hot Chocolate; theres nothing like curling up in starbucks/your sofa with a hot chocolate topped with cream and sprinkles warm your insides and your heart, making you grateful that you have escaped the bitter icy wind and that you can now relax and bask in all its chocolatly goodness!
2// Snuggling; one of my favorite activites all year round but theres something about winter that just makes it so much more enjoyable - on the sofa, curtains drawn watching a film with nibbles under a blanket. It makes me very content ^_^.
3// Awesome hats, toasty scarfs and cosy jumpers; yes, I am aware I look daft in my hat (it is a racoon with ears) but it keeps me warm, along with my scarf and cuddley jumper! I love the feeling of putting theses items on as armour before I leave the house and making it to the bus stop all toasty.
4// Rosy cheeks and red noses; after a walk and walking down the street. It makes me grateful having the rest of my body warm and makes me look forward to getting in to my pj's, getting under the duvet and reading a good book.
5// Christmas markets; I have to admit, I am a bit of a scrouge but theres just something about christmas markets that makes me feel wholesome and warm inside (and want to buy bags full of presents!). I love the combination of sounds, sights and oh the smells! Its a sensory overload!
6// Food! Glorious food!; two words - roast dinner.
7// Reflection; I always feel that this time of year is a bit funny, it's neither here nor there - just in limbo, which makes it the perfect time to look back at what this year has brought to you and what you have brought to this year. Looking back on what you have achieved, how you and your surroundings have changed and what this means for you in the coming year.
8// Bubble baths; for me, theres nothing like soaking into a bubble bath (perferabley with some sort of lush product!), with some music on and letting your worries float away in the steam - the only problem is getting out!
9// Pretty lights; I'm like a moth, seriously. They're so twinkley and magical, it makes me want to cover everywhere in fairy lights!
10// Celebrations!;... of new year and my birthday! Even though most new year celebrations are all about the build up, with the actual event feeling like a let down, I still get excited about dressing up and heading off out - I have no complaints about getting a new dress! Another thing I love about winter celebrations is my birthday, with this one being a biggy! (I'm turning 21!!)

What are your favorite things about winter and why?
